2013 Award
Mega Bloks John Deere Garden Cart Play Set
(Mega Blox $45 Score:)

For your youngest garden assistant, here's small wagon with plastic garden tools and a few mega bloks. This is more of a pretend toy for outdoor carting fun and comes in the traditional John Deere green and yellow colors. Or use it indoors for storing blocks that can be built up on the handle, which serves as a base. Also fun in this line, a Mega Bloks Dump Truck that will work in the sand box or at the beach. 2 & up.

Age: Toddlers, Preschool. Award Year: 2013.

2010 Award
Radio Flyer Bumper Car
(Radio Flyer $49.99 Score:)

Low to the ground, this is a perfect little first ride-on for kids who are steady on their feet. It's shiny red and looks like a classic red vehicle. There are no pedals to complicate the action. It's foot to the floor fun with a steering wheel loaded with a horn that is sure to please. The bumpers make this furniture-safe. However, the front bumper is loaded with 7 funny sounds that just might startle your toddler. You can turn them off with a switch at the bottom. But let them know about the sounds so that they are not surprised while they are scooting around. They say 1-3. We say, not many 1-year olds are steady enough on their feet. The wheels on this are small castors that turn pretty easily.  We think this is a much better choice for 18-20 months. A great choice for two's.

2009 Award
Push Along Cat or Duck
(Imagiplay $14.95 Score:)

Ever hear of a 'green' cat? This single piece of eco-sound rubberwood is cut out in a cat shape that is easy to push along. It has big wooden wheels with treads that will roll over carpet or bare floors. Reminiscent of the handsome wooden toys of another age when sleek and modern was the key and all the rest was left to be imagined by the player. Also from the same maker a Push Along Hybrid Car, Duck or Dog.  Perfect choice for toddlers 1 & up.  The company has signed a verification form complying with our safety requirements. We did not independently test this toy in a lab.

Recalled: Little People Load 'n Go Wagon
(Fisher-Price $30 Score:)

THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN RECALLED. If you have purchased this toy, please read the recall info. Below was our original review. A toddler sized red wagon with bright blue wheels and big yellow handle. This is light enough for tots to handle with ease and comes loaded with 20 some plastic blocks that can be stacked with ease by little hands. There is a little puppy figure and a flip down platform that kids can build on. Toddlers love taking their toys and hug-ables from one room to another and this will get a lot of mileage for active as well as sit down playtimes. 1 & up.
