2004 Award
Baby Genius Colors, Numbers & Baby Animals
(DK $7.99 Score:) Arrived too late for our book, but here is a new boardbook series for talking and looking at together. The Color book has no confusing other colors on most pages- so toddlers will get a "Gestalt" of what is red, blue, etc. Their number book goes only to five- perfect for beginners, though some of the images are a bit fuzzy; Baby Animals show the same animal in multiple poses- so there's lots to talk about. There's also a shape book, but we think this is a concept for older tots- not those who are barely talking yet. 6 months & up.

Age: Infants,Toddlers. Award Year: 2004.

Edges of the cardboard pages are staggered for easy turning, although we didnít find them that much easier. Itís something like still life shots from Pleasantville for the toddler set.
