Jenga Max
( Parker Brothers $21.99 Score: )

Remember Jenga?  The classic game where the game play is to remove game pieces from the tower without causing it to fall down?  Well Jenga Max has the "all fall down" aspect, but now the idea is to add game pieces to the structure.  The pole has a magnet and if you put too much weight at any given point the magnet connection breaks and all the pieces fall down.  The "hints" that come with the game are very useful in making the game take longer to play. If you just put the pieces hanging down from each other, the tower will fall pretty quickly.  On the other hand if you build up, outward or zig zag as recommended it does extend the play time.  It does require a great deal of fine motor skills to put the plastic pieces on--so if you have a child that does not excel in this area--it can be very frustrating. It's a nice variation --but not a replacement for the classic original version.
