by Fiona Tierney/illus. by Margaret Chamberlain, Scholastic $17.99 Score:When Sarah goes walking in the jungle she is stopped and threatened by the king of beasts, himself. When he threatens to eat her up, she borrows time by offering to draw his picture. It's that mean looking image that shakes lion up and when the others agree that is how he looks, lion resolves to change his ways. A bit of on the preachy side, this is nevertheless a story that just might help kids understand how others see bullies. It may not make them change their ways, but it might be a good story for a group of kids to discuss. 4 & up.
