Manhattan Toy $29.99 Score:This is a doll designed for toddlers. Finding a doll safe enough for little ones can be a challenge. Toddlers still mouth their toys and dolls with moving eyes and hair are also a no-no for this age group. The Baby Stella line has none of these problems. There are several Baby Stella dolls. The original was a Caucasian girl. Next they introduced an African American girl and now a Baby Boy. O.K. he has tushy dimples and a diaper and his onesie opens at the bottom, just like a real baby's romper. BUT he is not anatomically correct. (If you want an anatomically correct boy doll check the Corolle 14" Drink and Wet Paul doll.) That said, Baby Stella is a perfect match for early pretend play and big brothers who are still almost babies themselves. He's made of fabric with stitched features and a tuft of fabric hair. He's dressed in a striped romper and has a flat fabric pacifier that has a magnet inside that has no nipple shape that might be a temptation to go in a toddler's mouth. 12 months & up .
