It's hard to ignore a new book illustrated by the master, Eric Carle. This is not just the Grimm Tale of Tom Thumb. It is a collection that includes The Fisherman and His Wife, Hans in Luck, and The Seven
Swabians. Tom Thumb is especially grim fare and Carle does not pretty it up, either. These are authentic tales and mistakenly labeled for 3-5. Share them if you like, but save them for the 7 and up crowd who know the difference between real and make believe. These are not for little children!
