Having a classmate like Bailey, a curious pooch, does make for a lively field trip to the Natural History Museum. Bailey is more than enthusiastic about sampling the dinosaur bones and somewhat under impressed by the Stone Age display. The narrative is told in prose that is lightened up with dialogue bubbles. Thanks to the cartoonish illustrations and the bubbles, we get a take on Bailey's often amusing thoughts as well as those of his teacher, the museum guard and others.
