Important Advisory:
The Asterisk on the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Lead-Free* Platinum Award list indicates that samples from only one particular batch of these toys tested lead free. Other production runs or samples of
the same products may contain lead.
We have not had the other toys on our
website independently tested for lead content. For the future, we are requiring companies to provide us with documentation that their products have been tested by an
independent lab and found to be free of surface and embedded lead, as well as phthalates.

Summer
Travel Tips from the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio as
featured on the Today Show 5/22/2001
Equipment for Older Kids
Game
Boy Advance
The biggest news of the summer in electronics for kids is the new Game
Boy Advance (Nintendo $99.95) which
is more compact than the original, has a 50% larger screen and amazing
graphics capability powered by a 32 bit processor. Recommended new titles
from Nintendo: F-Zero Maximum Velocity (a high speed futuristic racing
game) & Super Mario Advance ($29.95each). If the sun is setting in
the back seat or there is poor lighting on the plane, consider adding
a Cobra Light Advance (Nuby
$12.99 & up). If you've invested in two machines you may also want
to bring along a Cobra Multi-Link Advance (Nuby $9.99) so that two kids
can link their machines and play with each other in the back seat (instead
of fighting). How's that for high tech interaction!

Camera
New Polaroid i-zone Instant Camera (Polaroid
$24.99) comes with fashionable color clip-ons to match your style or mood.
Best of all, the camera produces tiny colored instant sticker photos (1"x
1 1/2") that are fun to share with friends or use to decorate notebooks
or other personal items. (800) 429-4549.
For Active Breaks
Parafoil
5 (Go Fly a Kite $30) Frameless
construction allows for this collapsible rainbow colored nylon kite to
fit into a travel bag. There are no rods to break and the wind literally
lifts it. Comes with 300' of line on a ring. 10 & up. (800) 243-3370.
