What’s the next best thing to going on a giant water slide? How about building one that can then be used for playing pretend. Preschoolers will like playing with this miniature setting, but it’s a big 143 piece build that even early school age kids will need help in building. Once it’s together the real fun begins as the multicultural action figures slip and slide down the ramps and into the pool where an octopus spins. A pulley system adds fun to the action as it pulls the tube to the top of the slide. Wait for the octopus to give you a smile and zooom! The set includes two adult figures and one child. Our six year old tester loved playing with the Water Park, but her mom was frustrated with the slides coming apart whenever they moved the setting. Of course, few construction sets move from place to place with ease, unless they are wheeled toys or if they are glued. Since this is not a setting with multiple ways of using the pieces, perhaps once it is together and adult can glue strategic spots so that it will stay together longer and need fewer rebuilding repairs. Despite the frustrations, the tester and her three-year old friend reportedly loved the Water Park Slides and especially the action of the pulley system. Marked 4-10.
