Peaceable Kingdom Listmania

(Peaceable Kingdom $9.99)

There are multiple games here to play that go well beyond facts of five. One   fun game begins with drawing a card that tells what kind of list you and other players must dream up. Say you draw an A to Z card that says start with G and Fruits and Vegetables. The first player might say Grapes, the next player would have to repeat grapes and then name a fruit or veggie that starts with H such as Honeydew, the next player would say Grapes, Honeydew and a fruit or veggie that starts with the next letter of the alphabet. If the player can’t dream one up, others cooperate and say one and the game continues until the players have gone through the alphabet. This version of the game calls for memory as well as knowing and naming. There are also Name 10 cards that tell you to name for example 10 animals small enough to fit in your backpack or 10 things you would do if you were President of the USA. Other cards called Time Out are played against the timer on your phone or kitchen timer; players try to name as many dinosaurs or breakfast foods or other items in the given amount of time printed on the card. There’s a lot of variety in this game that can be good fun for the family while traveling in the car, waiting for food at a restaurant or a rainy day at home. 7 & up.
