For newborns, this patterned play mat with dangly black and white/high contrast toys is ideal. During the first weeks and months, when baby needs a change of scenery, this is a stimulating environment. There is a small mirror and a pillow for tummy time. Within weeks baby will begin to react to primary colors as well as the black and white graphics. The mat is washable and some of the toys are removable for take along play distractions.You can use the mat with its monthly graphic to take a picture of our baby's first months.
