Mindware Dig it Up! Dinosaur Skeletons

(Mindware $29.99)

Not one—but a dozen dinosaur eggs, ready to excavate! For the young paleontologist, this clutch of dino eggs will be perfect to share at a dino themed party. (You could do a scavenger hunt to begin the fun and have each of the players find an egg or have two teams hunt together until they have found an egg for each member of the team. Each child will have a unique dino egg to work on. First the egg soaks in water until it sinks. Then wait five minute to allow the egg to soften. Next kids use the flat edge of a chisel, supplied with each egg, and scratch until the dino inside is revealed. Rinse in clean water use the chart on back of the box to identify the name of each dino. Or, use these individual eggs when a quiet activity is needed or a special treat. We can picture dinohaloics who would love getting the complete set, little by little or all at once! Marked 4 and up, but really a terrific choice for 5s and up.
