Water play is always a hit with young children, but this miniature aquarium has even more appeal since it combines water play with pretend. The big multi-level aquarium has see-through tank where play figures can view the fish underwater. Up above, there’s a bridge where “visitors” can watch the sea lion jump through a hop and balance a ball on its nose. The set comes with three figures, three seals, fish and sea creatures, coral, and a feeding time clock. After a trip to an aquarium this miniature setting will no doubt make a splashy hit. Other underwater creatures can be purchased separately. A young STEM toy that will be enjoyed by both boys and girls. It can be played with without water, but of course, water will be more fun. As with all water toys, this will need adult supervision, especially if there are very young children in the family. Marked for 4 and up, we think the sweet spot with this is more like six.
