eeBoo Trucks and a Bus Matching Game

(eeBoo $10.99 )

Our tester had good fun finding the 12 matched pairs of cute little cut out trucks and a bus. Monika Forsberg’s collection of trucks look like they’ve rolled right out of a story book. There’s an ice cream truck, fire truck, one that delivers fish, robot parts, logs, air mail (with a bird), cakes, a carpenter, musicians, fruits, spring water, and, yes, a school bus. It’s a classic concentration game that’s played by turning over two cards at a time to find a match that the player keeps. Winner is the one with the most matches. That’s the traditional way, but kids can also play this solo, matching up the 12 pairs. Or use them to tell an original story. Marked 3 and up, but we think it will be enjoyed more by older 4s, 5s, and even 6s. Older kids will enjoy the witty illustrations and notice the details.

SNAP: Lots of language opportunities here. Start with fewer sets when introducing the game. Gradually add more sets. US this face up and find pairs

to start. It can be played that way as a solo matching game. Or use them to tell small stories.
