Magformers Creator Set 26 pieces

With this 26-piece set your child gets an introduction to this excellent line of magnetic building pieces. Safe enough for preschoolers to handle since the magnets are all totally embedded in the neon colored plastic shapes. Though this set is smaller than most Magformer sets, it has a magical quality by showing the step-by step-process of building a geodesic dome. It starts out flat on the table, but when you lift it, abra-ca-dab-ra the dome snaps together. With just triangles and squares young builders will discover the polarity of magnets that attract and repel and how they can make their own models. Early STEM lessons are built into the fun. Marked 3 & up, we think this kit is really better for older 4’s -7’s. Also interesting the Magformer Space Traveler Set ($59.99) with ideas for making a space ship, rocket, or UFO with the 35-piece colorful square and triangular Magformer shapes. The kit comes with a little space traveler figure and it is really little and not appropriate for kids who still mouth their toys, even if they are over 3. Again, this is a better bet for 4-7.
