We’ve seen tow trucks, recycling trucks, firetrucks, pickup trucks—but never before a Metal Detector Mining Truck! Cleverly designed this tough little vehicle has a working metal detector that beeps when it discovers metal as it rolls along. Kids can remove the detector to work on or off the truck. There is also a rock tumbler that will help sift through the treasures kids discover and a detachable water tank that will wash away mud or dirt coating the treasures and for looking under the surface there are shovels to look for hidden gems. Note, the rock tumbler does not polish stones. The truck requires a “9-Volt” alkaline battery (not included). An unusual vehicle with a scientific edge and lots of pretend play, as well. Marked 3 and up, but we’d say this is more age appropriate for 5s and 6s who will better understand the built-in science concepts and pretend play.
