Barbie and Ken Fashionistas Dolls with Wheelchair & Ramp

(Mattel $28 each)

We’ve reviewed earlier takes with Barbie in a wheelchair; in fact, there are various Barbie dolls with diverse skin tones and hair coloring packaged with the wheel chair. This blonde, blue-eyed Ken with a wheel chair is a first, we believe. The chair has rolling wheels and working brake, plus a ramp that works with Barbie’s Dreamhouse (No, the house is not included in this package.) Ken has 22 “joints” (No, not that kind) His joints move his neck, upper arms, elbows, wrists, torso, hips, upper legs, knees and ankles. So, despite his need for the wheelchair, he’s got lots of potential for motion. He’s wearing a tie-dye print, black shorts, white sneakers and silvery sunglasses. AN excellent choice for dramatic play for kids with and without physical challenges.
