Countaloupe is a real departure from Bananagrams' award-wining letter/word games, this lively dice and card game gives kids a reason to use their budding math skills. The object of the game is to get rid of all your melon slice cards. You need to do that by using the dice you roll to match the numbers on your cards. But watch out! If you roll a “sour” die you can end up having to hand your cards over to the person who still has more cards than you do. If you’re lucky you might roll the “nope” die and get to block anyone from taking you cards with the NOPE card. It’s an easy-to-learn game that calls for flexible thinking to see the way the multiple dice can be added to make various sums that will help you get rid of your cards. A typical game takes 15 minutes. For 2-4 players. 7 and up.
