This excellent kit will keep parent and child on their toes. Kids can build their TrainBot in two different configurations: a rolling train and a walking robot, with cool water vapor “steam” billowing from its chimney. It’s a little on the retro side but loaded with modern technology. The TrainBots kit includes an electric motor, LED lights, circuit board, and an innovative ultrasonic atomizer that transforms tap water into the fine mist that rises from the chimney. Kids learn about the differences between fog, smoke, and steam. The well written manual includes step-by-step assembly instructions and a comic-book-style story that brings featuring the TrainBots.The box says 8-12 will need parental help and 12 and up can do it alone. Maybe. We include a photo of the contents so you get the idea of what you're bringing home. This is a challenging but satisfying construction set with lot of little pieces with tight fits. It requires several sittings to accomplish plus a wire clipper to take the pieces apart as there is none in the kit.
