It's not your old Polaroid, but it's a kid-friendly version that lets kids take a picture with a click and print it instantly. This is late in arriving so we have not had time to kid test it, but our adult tester was impressed and says it is not any more difficult to use than earlier VTech cameras. Kids can preview their photos with the 2.4" color screen and print regular or panoramic photos in black and white right away. No they do not print in color! They can also take selfies with a friend or solo. The included paper roll prints up to 80 images—that’s a bargain per print, really. Of course, there are refill packs (sold separately) for three more paper rolls and they can get two rolls of adhesive paper to turn photos into stickers. The camera has 110+ templates and activities including small greeting cards, printable games and more. The camera also takes videos. With help they can back them up on a computer with the USB cable included. You can allow or not the three video games included. A non-removable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery included. Recharge battery with included USB cable. They say 4 and up...we think this is more like a 5-7 year old toy.
